On July 8th, 2011, The Floating Dutchman was launched. This Amfibus was christened by Alderman Eric van der Burg of the City of Amsterdam and Maarten de Groof, EVP and CCO of Schiphol Group

The Floating Dutchman is an initiative of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Boat Company Lovers.

Schiphol is one of Europe's leading airports when it comes to transfer passengers. The Floating Dutchman was conceived to give the millions of passengers with a minimum transfer time of 5 hours the chance to experience Amsterdam in a spectacular way. Of course, the Floating Dutchman is also the perfect way to start your holiday in Amsterdam with a splash!
